Before founding Cal Capital Partners, Luke spent nearly a decade as a Director and Partner at Rubicon Point Partners, a vertically integrated real estate private equity firm focused on acquiring and repositioning office and mixed-use assets across innovation-driven markets, including San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and Seattle. As Rubicon’s first full-time hire, he helped build the firm’s investment platform, asset managing more than 1.5 million square feet of commercial space, executing approximately $900 million in leasing transactions, and leading over $1 billion in acquisitions and dispositions.

Luke began his career at Newmark in Silicon Valley, where he completed more than 2 million square feet of leasing and investment sales assignments, representing institutional and corporate clients, including GE Capital.

He holds an MBA from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Business from California State University, Chico. He is currently a participant in the Stanford Graduate School of Business LEAD Executive Program (2026).

Luke is an active member of NAIOP’s San Francisco Bay Area Chapter and has been recognized by peers and industry organizations for leadership and performance, including nominations for NAIOP’s Developing Leader of the Year and Deal of the Year awards. He serves on the Advisory Board of Chico State’s Seufferlein Sales Program and is a graduate of NAIOP’s Young Professionals Group.

Luke lives in Lafayette, California, with his wife and three children.

As managing partner, Chuck brings extensive commercial real estate development and brokerage experience to CAL Capital Partners.  Most recently, Chuck serves as President of the Northwest Region for Newmark after Cornish & Carey, where he was President & CEO since June 2000, was acquired in 2014.  During that time, he also led the development of seven projects totaling 400K SF throughout Silicon Valley as managing partner of CAP Associates.  Prior to that, Chuck was senior vice president and managing officer at CB Commercial’s San Jose office where he was awarded the J. Frank Mahoney Leadership Award for Management Excellence in both 1992 and 1993.  Chuck joined CB after spending six years as president of Northern California for Sammis Development Company.  During his tenure, he acquired and developed a multitude of projects throughout the Bay Area totaling over 5.0 million square feet.  Chuck began his commercial real estate career in 1975 as a sales professional with Coldwell Banker Commercial in San Jose after getting his MBA from the University of Santa Clara and a business degree from California State University, Chico.
